FEATURES:
federal style farmhouse with refurbished outbuildings
Restored herb garden
nature trails with access to Cooper River
large community garden
children’s playground
PROS: great location for every season -
in the summer the community garden provides a colorful backdrop for photos (especially when the sunflowers start to bloom!)
with springtime comes the budding of the pink white magnolia trees
in fall the treetops glow bright yellow and orange
in the winter the white snow contrasts the brick-red farmhouse beautifully
CONS:
water settles here - if it’s rained at all within the past week or so be sure to wear water-resistant shoes!
No public restrooms! Make sure you take care of business before headed to this site, or you’ll have to choose between a bright blue port-a-potty and a colonial-era wooden outhouse
FUN FACT: this location is a verified historical landmark and serves as a living history museum complete with tour guides in 17th century period costumes - tours are free for Cherry Hill residents!
